This week we’ll be choosing our own color palette for this typical New England scene.  Color choices, texture choices, and focus of detail will create the mood we’re attempting to capture.   

Tidal change moves in as daylight gradually dims. Warm light creates cool, evening shadows. Washes, wet-into-wet, pen work and dry brushing all play their part in this mood-filled scene.  

Sunlight warms the landscape at the edge of this Newbury marsh. All our texture techniques come into play in this work. Wet-into-wet and washes bring the winter sky to life.
