First snow in early winter.  This is a re-interpretation of a painting titled “Evening Reflections” (see below). The first painting was used as a model. We’ll use guache, stippling, wet-into-wet and graded wash techniques to recreate this scene in another season.      

Long shadows stripe new snow as the sun finds its way through parting clouds. Washes, pen painting, stippling, ink work, and more of our watercolor techniques will be used to complete this sun-lit winter scene.  

Wind-blown leaves dance across shiny pavement telling the story of the passing storm. Winter is on the way.  This work begins with wet-into-wet, then pen painting, stippling, spattering, and color lifting techniques bring this mood filled project together.
